1. INSPECT INPUT SHAFT

  1. Check the input shaft for wear and damage.

  1. Using a dial indicator, measure the shaft runout.

    Maximum runout:
    0.03 mm (0.0012 in.)
    If the runout exceeds the maximum, replace the input shaft.

  1. Using a micrometer, measure the diameter of the input shaft journal surface.

    Standard diameter:
    Measured Part
    		Specified Condition
    A
    		30.008 to 30.020 mm (1.1814 to 1.1819 in.)
    B
    		32.002 to 32.018 mm (1.2599 to 1.2605 in.)
    If the diameter is not as specified, replace the input shaft.
