1. ADJUST TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE
УКАЗАНИЕ:
  1. After the shift lever or the shift cable is replaced, be sure to adjust the transmission control cable assembly.
  2. If the shift lever does not move (or the shift lever is difficult to move) to the 1st or 2nd position, or if it is possible to move the shift lever to the reverse position without pulling up the slider shaft, the length of the cable must be adjusted.

  1. Install the transmission control cable assembly to the manual transaxle.

  1. Release the lock of the cable length adjustment structure of the select cable.

    1. Twist the stopper.

    2. Pull the lock piece outward from the case to release the lock.

    3. Return the stopper.

  1. Install the transmission control cable assembly to the shift lever assembly.

  1. Pressing the shift and select lever shaft (*1) and pin (*2), push in pin (*3) and check that the shift and select lever shaft is secured at the 1st-2nd gear selected position (the shaft comes to a stop at the position 8 mm (0.31 in.) below the N position).

    1. Remove the stopper pin, release the lock, and reinsert the stopper pin.

  1. Push the slider shaft against the cam wall.

    ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ:
    1. Don't pull up the slider shaft.
    2. Make sure to adjust the cable length with the shift lever in the neutral position.

  1. Lock the cable length adjustment structure of the select cable.

    1. Twist the stopper.

    2. Push the lock piece into the case.

    3. Return the stopper to prevent the lock from being released.

      ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ:
      1. Push the lock piece as far as it will go.
      2. Confirm whether the cable length adjustment structure is locked securely.

  1. Release the pin that fixes the transmission outer lever.

    1. Pull the pin toward the front left side of the vehicle.
