1. FUEL PRESSURE

In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.
УКАЗАНИЕ:
Using the intelligent tester to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.

  1. Warm up the engine.

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Connect an intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List.

  1. Read the Data list.

    Tester Display
    		Test Part
    		Control Range
    		Diagnostic Notes
    Common Rail Pressure
    		Common rail pressure:
    Min.: 0 MPa, Max.: 255 MPa
    		25 to 36 MPa: Idling
    		-



2. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK
УКАЗАНИЕ:
Using the intelligent tester to perform Active Tests allow relays, VSVs, actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.
The Data List can be displayed during Active Tests.

  1. Connect an intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

  1. Turn the tester on.

  1. Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test.

  1. Perform the Active Test.

    Tester Display
    		Test Part
    		Control Range
    		Diagnostic Notes
    Active the fuel leak test
    		Pressurize common rail internal fuel pressure, in order to see if fuel leaks
    		ON/OFF
    1. Fuel pressure inside common rail pressurized to 135 MPa and engine speed increased to 2000 rpm when ON selected
    2. Above conditions preserved while test ON
