УКАЗАНИЕ:
  1. If DTC P0263 is displayed, check the No. 1 cylinder.
  2. If DTC P0266 is displayed, check the No. 2 cylinder.
  3. If DTC P0269 is displayed, check the No. 3 cylinder.
  4. If DTC P0272 is displayed, check the No. 4 cylinder.

DESCRIPTION

Misfire: The ECM uses the crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor to monitor changes in the crankshaft rotation for each cylinder.
The ECM counts the number of times the engine speed change rate indicates that a misfire has occurred.
And when the misfire rate equals or exceeds the threshold indicating that the engine condition has deteriorated, the MIL lights up.
УКАЗАНИЕ:
  1. The cylinder, which has the compensation value for Revised Injection Volume #1, #2, #3 or #4 that varies from the other cylinders, may be malfunctioning.
  2. If only DTCs P0263, P0266, P0269, P0272 and/or P0300 are present, an injector mechanical malfunction (valve clearance etc.) or insufficient compression has probably occurred. An open or short in the ECM or injector circuit is unlikely.

These DTCs are set when the engine idles for 10 minutes or more with a warmed up engine.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

УКАЗАНИЕ:
  1. If any DTCs other than P0263, P0266, P0269, P0272 and/or P0300 are set simultaneously, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
  2. Read freeze frame data using an intelligent tester. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can be helpful in determining whether the vehicle was running or stopped, whether the engine was warmed up or not, whether the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, as well as other data recorded at the time of a malfunction.

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

  1. Turn the tester on.

  1. Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / DTC.

  1. Read the DTCs.

    If any DTCs other than P0263, P0266, P0269, P0272 and/or P0300 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

4.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (COMPENSATORY INJECTION VOLUME BETWEEN CYLINDERS)
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

  1. Turn the tester on.

  1. Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Revised Injection Volume #1, #2, #3 and #4.

  1. Read the values.

    Standard:
    The compensatory injection volume is between -2.0 mm3 and 2.0 mm3.

    1. If the injector is malfunctioning, the compensatory injection volume remains at -5.0 mm3 or 5.0 mm3.
    2. The compensatory injection volume is usually between -2.0 mm3 and 2.0 mm3.
  1. Any cylinders that have a higher compensatory injection volume than shown above are considered to be faulty. Use the following steps to inspect and repair the cylinders.

5.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (INJECTION CUT FOR IDENTIFYING MALFUNCTIONING CYLINDER)
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Start the engine.

  1. Turn the tester on.

  1. Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Injector cut #1, #2, #3 and #4.

  1. Check the four cylinders in sequence to identify a faulty cylinder by performing the power-balance inspection.

    УКАЗАНИЕ:
    If the engine idling remains normal despite cutting off the fuel injection, the cylinder is malfunctioning.

6.CHECK CYLINDER COMPRESSION PRESSURE OF MALFUNCTIONING CYLINDER
  1. Measure the compression pressure (See page Нажмите здесь).

    Standard (minimum pressure):
    2200 kPa (22.5 kgf/cm2, 320 psi)
    Standard (difference between each cylinder):
    500 kPa (5.0 kgf/cm2, 71 psi)
    OK:
    The cylinder compression pressure is within the standard range.
