DTC P1600 ECM BATT Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The battery supplies power to terminal +B and/or +B1 of the ECM even when the ignition switch is turned to off (up to 15 seconds).

Trouble Area

Battery voltage is 4 V or less, or 17 V or more
(The MIL is illuminated and a DTC is immediately set when a malfunction is detected)
  1. Open or short in +B terminal circuit
  2. Tired battery
  3. Electrical overwork
  4. Generator
  5. Battery (If 24 V battery is fitted, DTC P1600 is output)
  6. ECM
УКАЗАНИЕ:
DTC P1600 is set when the engine idles for 60 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.INSPECT BATTERY

  1. Check that the battery is not depleted (See page Нажмите здесь).

    OK:
    The battery is not depleted.

REPLACE BATTERY

2.CHECK ECM POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT

  1. Check that the ECM Power Source Circuit (See page Нажмите здесь).

4.INSPECT GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

  1. Check the generator assembly (See page Нажмите здесь).

    УКАЗАНИЕ:
    1. If +B voltage drop is caused by generator malfunctions, the charge light illuminates.
    2. If the voltage at the terminal of the generator is more than 17 V, the generator malfunctions.
