1. INSPECT V-RIBBED BELT

  1. Visually check the belt for excessive wear, frayed cords, etc.
    If any defect is found, replace the belt.

    УКАЗАНИЕ:
    1. Cracks on the rib side of a belt are considered acceptable. If the belt has chunks missing from the ribs, it should be replaced.
    2. After installing the belt, check that it fits properly in the ribbed grooves. Check to confirm that the belt has not slipped out of the grooves on the bottom of the crank pulley by hand.
    3. After installing the belt, check by hand that it fits properly in the ribbed grooves and has not slipped out of the grooves on the bottom of the crank pulley. Run the engine for 5 minutes or more.


2. INSPECT V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY


    COROLLA, AURIS. ZZE150 ZRE151,152 NDE150

  1. Check that nothing gets caught in the tensioner by turning it clockwise and counterclockwise.
    If a malfunction exists, replace the tensioner.
