| 1. REPLACE CYLINDER BLOCK TIGHT PLUG |
- ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ:
- If water leaks from the tight plug or the plug corrodes, replace it.
Remove the tight plugs.
Apply adhesive around 3 new tight plugs.
- Adhesive:
- Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent

Using SST and a hammer, tap in the tight plugs as shown in the illustration.

| 2. REPLACE CYLINDER BLOCK STUD BOLT |
- ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ:
- If the stud bolt is deformed or the threads are damaged, replace it.
Remove the stud bolts.
Using an E5 "TORX" socket wrench, install the adhesive side of new stud bolts A and C to the cylinder block.
- Момент затяжки:
- 3.0 Н*м{31 кгс*см, 27 фунт-сила-дюймов}for bolt A
- 2.0 Н*м{20 кгс*см, 18 фунт-сила-дюймов}for bolt C
Install the adhesive side of new stud bolts B to the cylinder block.
- Момент затяжки:
- 20 Н*м{204 кгс*см, 15 фунт-сила-футов}
Install the adhesive side of 2 new stud bolts to the crankshaft bearing cap.
- Момент затяжки:
- 5.0 Н*м{51 кгс*см, 44 фунт-сила-дюймов}

| 3. REPLACE CYLINDER BLOCK STRAIGHT PIN |
- ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ:
- It is not necessary to remove straight pins unless they are being replaced.
Remove the straight pins.
Using a plastic-faced hammer, tap in new straight pins to the cylinder block.
