  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR RH

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

  4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  5. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

  6. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY

  8. REMOVE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR RH

  1. Remove the 5 clips and engine under cover rear RH.



3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER


    COROLLA, AURIS. ZZE150 ZRE151,152 NDE150

  1. Disengage the 4 pins and remove No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.



4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  1. Loosen the radiator drain cock plug.

    УКАЗАНИЕ:
    Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to the regulations in your area.

  1. Remove the radiator reservoir cap.

    ПРЕДОСТЕРЕЖЕНИЕ:
    Do not remove the radiator reservoir cap while the engine and radiator are still hot.
    Pressurized, hot engine coolant and steam may be released and cause serious burns.


  1. Loosen the cylinder block drain cock plug.

    УКАЗАНИЕ:
    The plug is on the backside of the generator on the exhaust manifold side.

5. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and 2 wire harness clamps, then separate the wire harness.

  1. Loosen bolts A and B.

  1. Remove the v-ribbed belt.



6. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the terminal cap.

  1. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.

  1. Disconnect the generator connector.

  1. Remove the bolt, nut, and fan belt adjusting slider.

  1. Remove the bolt and generator assembly.



7. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY

  1. Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.

    SST
    09960-10010(09962-01000,09963-00700)

  1. Remove the 4 bolts, then remove the water pump pulley.



8. REMOVE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and 2 nuts, then remove the water pump.
