- Turn the ignition switch off for 60 seconds before performing the following inspections.
| 1. INSPECT LIGHTING DURATION OF GLOW INDICATOR LIGHT |
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and measure the duration of time that the light remains illuminated.
- Light illumination duration:
- Refer to the graph and the table *1
*1: Lighting duration depending on atmospheric pressure.
- Light illumination duration:
Engine coolant temperature

| 2. INSPECT PRE-HEATING |
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and measure the length of time that battery voltage is applied to the glow plugs.
- Pre-heating time:
- Refer to the graph *1
*1: Pre-heating time changes depending on battery voltage and engine coolant temperature.
Turn the ignition switch to the START position and check that the battery voltage is applied to the glow plugs.
While cranking the engine, measure the length of time that battery voltage is applied to the glow plugs.
- Pre-heating time:

*1: Pre-heating time changes depending on battery voltage and engine coolant temperature.
- ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ:
- Do not start the engine.
| 3. INSPECT AFTER GLOW TIME |
Remove the glow plug relay.
 |
After the engine starts, measure the length of time that battery voltage remains present.
- After glow time:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A55-2 - Body ground - Refer to the graph above *1
If the result is not as specified, check the ECM, engine coolant temperature sensor, glow plug and glow plug relay.
