  1. REMOVE PISTON SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH CONNECTING ROD

  2. REMOVE CONNECTING ROD BEARING

  3. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT

  4. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT THRUST WASHER UPPER

  5. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT BEARING

  6. REMOVE PISTON RING SET

  7. REMOVE WITH PIN PISTON SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL NOZZLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE OIL JET

1. REMOVE PISTON SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH CONNECTING ROD

  1. Using SST, remove the bolts and connecting rod caps.

  1. Using a ridge reamer, remove all the carbon from the top of the cylinder.

  1. Push the piston, connecting rod and upper bearing through the top of the cylinder block sub-assembly.

    УКАЗАНИЕ:
    1. Keep the bearing, connecting rod and cap together.
    2. Keep the pistons and connecting rods in the correct order so that they can be returned to their original locations when reassembling.


2. REMOVE CONNECTING ROD BEARING

  1. Remove the connecting rod bearing from the connecting rod cap.

  1. Remove the connecting rod bearing from the connecting rod sub-assembly.



3. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT

  1. Uniformly loosen the bearing cap bolts in several steps in the sequence and remove them.

  1. Remove the bearing caps and crankshaft.



4. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT THRUST WASHER UPPER

  1. Remove the crankshaft thrust washer upper from the cylinder block sub-assembly.



5. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT BEARING

  1. Remove the crankshaft thrust washer upper from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

  1. Remove the crankshaft bearing from the bearing cap.



6. REMOVE PISTON RING SET

УКАЗАНИЕ:
Keep the piston rings in the correct combination and order so that they can be returned to their original locations when reassembled.

  1. Using a piston ring expander, remove compression rings No. 1 and No. 2 and the oil ring.



7. REMOVE WITH PIN PISTON SUB-ASSEMBLY


    COROLLA, AURIS. ZZE150 ZRE151,152 NDE150

  1. Using a screwdriver, pry out the snap ring and remove the piston pin.

    ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ:
    Do not change the combinations of the pistons and piston pins.


8. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL NOZZLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    COROLLA, AURIS. ZZE150 ZRE151,152 NDE150

  1. Using a 5 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 4 bolts and the 4 oil nozzles.



9. REMOVE OIL JET


    COROLLA, AURIS. ZZE150 ZRE151,152 NDE150

  1. Remove the oil jet from the cylinder block sub-assembly.
