  1. REMOVE INTAKE VALVE

  2. REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE

  3. REMOVE VALVE STEM OIL O SEAL OR RING

  4. REMOVE VALVE SPRING SEAT PLATE WASHER

  5. REMOVE VALVE ROCKER ARM PIVOT

  6. REMOVE WITH HEAD NO. 1 TAPER SCREW PLUG

1. REMOVE INTAKE VALVE

  1. Remove the valve stem cap.

  1. Using SST, remove the valve spring retainer lock.

    SST
    09202-70020

  1. Remove the valve spring retainer, outer compression spring and intake valve from the cylinder head.



2. REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE

  1. Remove the valve stem cap.

  1. Using SST, remove the valve spring retainer lock.

  1. Remove the valve spring retainer, outer compression spring and exhaust valve from the cylinder head.



3. REMOVE VALVE STEM OIL O SEAL OR RING

  1. Using needle-nose pliers, remove the valve stem oil seal or ring.



4. REMOVE VALVE SPRING SEAT PLATE WASHER

  1. Remove the valve spring seat plate washer from the cylinder head.



5. REMOVE VALVE ROCKER ARM PIVOT

  1. Remove the valve rocker arm pivot from the cylinder head.



6. REMOVE WITH HEAD NO. 1 TAPER SCREW PLUG

  1. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 taper screw plug and gasket.
