Check the throttle position sensor.

1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
   

2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
   

3. Turn the intelligent tester on.
   

4. Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Throttle Position.
   

5. When the throttle valve is fully opened, check that the value of "Throttle Position" is within the specification.
   

   Standard throttle valve opening percentage:

   Tester Display	Condition	Specified Condition
   Throttle Position	Always	60% or more

   ПРЕДОСТЕРЕЖЕНИЕ:

   When checking the standard throttle valve opening percentage, the shift lever should be in the N position.

Check the diesel throttle valve.

1. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
   

2. Wait 5 seconds after turning the ignition switch off.
   

   УКАЗАНИЕ:

   Be sure to turn off the ignition switch before performing this inspection. The fully closed position of the diesel throttle valve is learned when the ignition switch is turned off.

3. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
   

4. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
   

5. Turn the intelligent tester on.
   

6. Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Diesel Throttle Angle.
   

7. Check that the value of "Diesel Throttle Angle" is within the specification.
   

   Standard diesel throttle angle:

   Tester Display	Specified Condition
   Diesel Throttle Angle	Throttle Angle: -5 to 5%

   If the result is not as specified, replace the throttle body.
   

8. Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Throttle Valve Fully Closed.
   

9. Check that the value of "Throttle Valve Fully Closed" is within the specification.
   

   Standard throttle valve fully closed:

   Tester Display	Specified Condition
   Throttle Valve Fully Closed	Throttle valve fully closed: 14.25 to 21.25 deg

   If the result is not as specified, replace the throttle body.
