DESCRIPTION

The diesel turbo pressure sensor detects the intake manifold pressure by using its built-in sensor unit. The ECM determines the basic injection duration and injection advance timing based on the voltage output by the diesel turbo pressure sensor.

The diesel turbo pressure sensor monitors the absolute pressure inside the intake manifold (default is 0 kPa (0 mmHg, 0 in.Hg)). As a result, the ECM controls the air fuel ratio at the proper level under any driving conditions, and fuel control accuracy is not influenced by fluctuations in the atmospheric pressure due to factors such as high altitude, etc.

УКАЗАНИЕ:
When DTC P0105, P0107, or P0108 is detected, check the intake manifold pressure by entering the following menus on the intelligent tester: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / MAP.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

After replacing the ECM, the new ECM needs registration (See page Нажмите здесь) and initialization (See page Нажмите здесь).
УКАЗАНИЕ:
Read freeze frame data using the intelligent tester. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
1.READ VALUE OF DIESEL TURBO PRESSURE SENSOR
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn the tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / MAP.

  1. Read the value.

    OK:
    Same value as the actual atmospheric pressure

  1. Disconnect the diesel turbo pressure sensor connector.

  1. Disconnect the ECM connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  1. Start the engine.

  1. Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / DTC.

  1. Read the DTCs.
