1. INSPECT NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY


    COROLLA, AURIS. ZZE150 ZRE151,152 NDE150

  1. Inspect the VSV resistance.

    1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance:
      Terminals
      		Condition
      		Specified Condition
      1 - 2
      		20°C (68°F)
      		28.3 to 31.1 Ω
      If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.

  1. Check VSV operation.

    1. Check that the air does not flow from the port as shown in the illustration.
      If the result is not as specified, replace the VSV assembly.

    2. Apply battery voltage across the terminals.

    3. Check that the air flows from the port as shown in the illustration.
      If the result is not as specified, replace the VSV assembly.
