Differential Pressure Sensor -- On-Vehicle Inspection



1. INSPECT DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR

  1. Using pliers, slide the clip to disconnect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose from the differential pressure sensor.

  1. Attach SST (turbo pressure gauge).

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Using SST, apply pressure according to the value(s) in the table below.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard voltage:
    Tester connection
    		Pressure
    		Specified condition
    PEX (E59-120) - EOM (A49-37)
    		0 kPa (0 kgf/cm2, 0 psi)
    		0.75 V
    20 kPa (0.2 kgf/cm2, 2.9 psi)
    		1.53 V
    100 kPa (1.0 kgf/cm2, 14.5 psi)
    		4.65 V
    If the result is not as specified, replace the differential pressure sensor.

  1. Remove the SST.

  1. Using pliers, slide the clip to connect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose.
