Rear Shock Absorber -- Removal |
1. SEPARATE CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT |
3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM SIDE COVER LH |
4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM SIDE COVER RH |
5. REMOVE TOOL BOX BOARD |
6. REMOVE TOOL BOX |
7. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE |
8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER |
9. REMOVE REAR WHEEL |
10. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL NO.2 SUPPORT PROTECTOR |
Remove the 2 nuts and the differential No.2 support protector.

11. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE |
Remove the 2 bolts and rear suspension member brace.

12. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION NO.2 ARM |
Loosen the nut on the rear suspension member side.
- NOTICE:
- Do not remove the nut.

Remove the bolt and nut and disconnect the rear stabilizer link assembly and the load sensing valve sensor bracket.
Remove the bolt and nut and disconnect the rear shock absorber.
- NOTICE:
- Turn the bolt while holding the nut.
Remove the nut and bolt on the rear axle carrier side.
- NOTICE:
- Turn the bolt while holding the nut.
13. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER CAP |
Remove the rear shock absorber cap and disconnect the connector.

14. REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR |
Turn the absorber control actuator counterclockwise approximately 40 degrees to remove it.

15. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING |
Loosen the lock nut of the rear shock absorber.
- NOTICE:
- Do not remove the lock nut.
- Loosen the lock nut only when disassembling the rear shock absorber with coil spring.

Remove the 3 nuts on the upper side of the rear shock absorber with coil spring.
![]() |
Remove the 2 bolts and the rear shock absorber with coil spring from the body.
- NOTICE:
- During this operation, hold the rear shock absorber with coil spring to prevent it from falling.
