Steering Knuckle -- Removal |
1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL |
2. SEPARATE SPEED SENSOR FRONT |
Disconnect the speed sensor connector from the speed sensor front.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.
- Prevent foreign matter from adhering to the speed sensor.

3. SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 bolts, and disconnect the brake caliper assembly.
- NOTICE:
- Use a wire or an equivalent to keep the brake caliper from hanging down by the flexible hose.

4. REMOVE FRONT DISC |
Put matchmarks on the front disc and the axle hub.

Remove the front disc.
5. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 4 bolts, front axle hub sub-assembly and front disc brake dust cover.

6. REMOVE STEERING KNUCKLE |
Remove the clip and nut.

Using SST, remove the steering knuckle from the upper suspension arm.
- SST
- 09628-00011
- NOTICE:
- Pay careful attention not to damage the steering knuckle because it is made of aluminum and may damage easily.
- Do not damage the ball joint dust cover.
- Make sure that the SST is securely set to the steering knuckle spacer.
- If the steering knuckle spacer has come off, replace the steering knuckle with a new one.
- Make sure that the string of the SST is securely tied to the vehicle.

7. SEPARATE LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY FRONT |
Separate the 2 bolts and lower ball joint from the steering knuckle.
