Air Fuel Ratio Sensor (For Sensor 1) -- Installation |
| 1. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1) |
Using SST, install the sensor to the exhaust manifold RH.
- SST
- 09224-00010
- Torque:
- 40 N*m{408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf}for use with SST
- 44 N*m{449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf}for use without SST
- HINT:
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 in.).

Connect the sensor connector.
| 2. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY |

Install the battery tray with the 2 bolts.
- Torque:
- 5.0 N*m{51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf}
| 3. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECT ASSEMBLY |
Connect the 2 power steering ECU assembly connectors and securely lock the connectors.
 |
Install the power steering ECU assembly to the battery tray with the 2 bolts.
- Torque:
- 5.0 N*m{51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf}
 |
Install the ground cable terminal with bolt (A).
- Torque:
- 5.0 N*m{51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf}
Install the battery tray support No.1.
| 4. INSTALL BATTERY |
Install the battery.
Install the battery insulator.
European models only :
Connect the battery thermometer connector.
Install the battery clamp with the 2 nuts.
- Torque:
- 2.9 N*m{30 kgf*cm, 26 in.*lbf}
Connect the positive (+) battery cable to the battery.
- Torque:
- 5.6 N*m{57 kgf*cm, 50 in.*lbf}
Connect the negative (-) battery cable to the battery.
- Torque:
- 5.6 N*m{57 kgf*cm, 50 in.*lbf}

Using SST, install the sensor to the exhaust manifold RH.

Connect the sensor connector.
| 6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
| 7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION |
Perform initialization (Click here).
- NOTICE:
- Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
