Mass Air Flow Meter Removal

Engine. Lexus Gs430, Gs300. Uzs190 Grs190
3Uz-Fe Engine Control System. Lexus Gs430, Gs300. Uzs190 Grs190

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH

  4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER

  5. REMOVE MASS AIR FLOW METER

Mass Air Flow Meter -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  1. Remove the 7 clips and intake duct seal.



3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH

  1. Remove the nut, 2 clips and side cover.



4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and V-bank cover.



5. REMOVE MASS AIR FLOW METER


    Lexus Gs430, Gs300. Uzs190 Grs190

  1. Disconnect the MAF meter connector.

  1. Remove the 2 screws and MAF meter.

  1. Remove O-ring from the MAF meter.
