REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER LH
REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE REAR INNER DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH
REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH
REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR LOWER WINDOW FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS LH
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH
REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH
REMOVE REAR NO. 2 DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH
REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
REMOVE NO. 2 BLACK OUT TAPE LH
REMOVE NO. 6 BLACK OUT TAPE LH
REMOVE UPPER INNER BLACK OUT TAPE LH
REMOVE REAR INNER BLACK OUT TAPE LH
Black Out Tape (For Rear Door) -- Removal |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
- When removing the black out tape and window frame moulding, heat the vehicle body, black out tape and window frame moulding using a heat light.
- Standard Heating Temperature:

- NOTICE:
- Do not heat the vehicle body, black out tape and window frame moulding excessively.
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).
3. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH |
Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the rear door inside handle bezel LH.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH |
Using a moulding remover, detach the 7 claws.
Disconnect the connector and remove the armrest base panel.
5. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER LH |
Using a moulding remover, detach the 9 claws and remove the assist grip cover LH.
6. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
Remove the 3 screws.
Remove the 9 clips.
Remove the rear inner door glass weatherstrip LH together with the rear door trim board sub-assembly LH by pulling them upward in the order shown in the illustration.
- HINT:
- Make sure that the pin labeled A in the illustration is detached from the door panel.
Disconnect the connector and remove the rear door trim board sub-assembly LH.
Disconnect the 2 cables from the rear door inside handle sub-assembly LH.
7. REMOVE REAR INNER DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH |
Remove the rear door quarter window weatherstrip LH.
8. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH |
Using a clip remover, detach the 6 clamps.
Remove the bolt and disconnect the 2 connectors.
Remove the rear door service hole cover LH.
- HINT:
- Remove the remaining tape on the door.
9. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH |
Remove the rear door glass run LH from the window frame.
10. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR LOWER WINDOW FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
Remove the 2 bolts.
Remove the screw and rear door rear lower window frame sub-assembly LH.
11. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS LH |
Remove the rear door quarter window glass LH and rear door quarter window weatherstrip LH as a unit as shown in the illustration.
12. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly LH from the rear door window regulator sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
- NOTICE:
- Do not damage the door glass.
13. REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY LH |
Put protective tape around the belt moulding.
Detach the claw and remove the belt moulding.
14. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH |
Put protective tape around the window frame moulding.
Detach the clip and remove the double-sided tape to remove the window frame moulding.
15. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH |
Detach the clip and remove the rear door frame garnish LH.
- HINT:
- This clip needs to be replaced with a new one because the clip will break when removing the rear door frame garnish LH.
16. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH |
Detach the clip and remove the rear No. 2 door frame garnish LH.
- HINT:
- This clip needs to be replaced with a new one because the clip will break when removing the rear No. 2 door frame garnish LH.
17. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH |
Detach the 4 clips, and remove the upper part of the rear door weatherstrip so that the black out tape can be removed.
18. REMOVE NO. 2 BLACK OUT TAPE LH |
Pull back an edge of the black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
19. REMOVE NO. 6 BLACK OUT TAPE LH |
Pull back an edge of the black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
20. REMOVE UPPER INNER BLACK OUT TAPE LH |
Pull back an edge of the black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
21. REMOVE REAR INNER BLACK OUT TAPE LH |
Pull back an edge of the black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
