DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) determines the status of the automatic high beam system based on the automatic high beam system signal from the forward recognition camera*1 or inner rear view mirror assembly*2.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. for LHD with Central Gateway ECU
    First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom (Click here).
  2. for LHD without Central Gateway ECU
    First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom (Click here).
  3. for RHD with Central Gateway ECU
    First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom (Click here).
  4. for RHD without Central Gateway ECU
    First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom (Click here).
  5. w/ Pre-crash System
    1. When replacing the forward recognition camera, replace it with a new one and be sure to initialize the settings. If an ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be output.
    2. When the forward recognition camera is replaced with a new one or it is removed, camera beam axis learning must be performed.

    This DTC is output simultaneously from the forward recognition camera when DTCs related to the items below are output.
    1. Wheel speed sensor malfunction
    2. Yaw rate sensor malfunction
    3. Steering angle sensor system malfunction
    4. CAN communication lost
