  1. REMOVE PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR 1, PTC HTR 2, PTC HTR 3)

  2. INSPECT PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR 1, PTC HTR 2, PTC HTR 3)

  3. INSTALL PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR 1, PTC HTR 2, PTC HTR 3)

1. REMOVE PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR 1, PTC HTR 2, PTC HTR 3)

  1. Remove the 3 PTC heater relays from the engine room relay block.



2. INSPECT PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR 1, PTC HTR 2, PTC HTR 3)

  1. Measure the resistance of the relay.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    3 - 5
    		Battery voltage not applied between terminals 1 and 2
    		10 kΩ or higher
    Battery voltage applied to terminal 1 and 2
    		Below 1 Ω
    1. If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.


3. INSTALL PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR 1, PTC HTR 2, PTC HTR 3)

  1. Install the 3 PTC heater relays to the engine room relay block.
