Compressor (For 3Ur-Fe) Removal

  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH

  4. REMOVE FAN & GENERATOR V BELT

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

  6. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY

Compressor (For 3Ur-Fe) -- Removal



1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL


  1. Remove the 7 clips and radiator support seal.

2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
  1. Start the engine.

  1. Turn the A/C switch on.

  1. Operate the cooler compressor while the engine speed is approximately 1000 rpm for 5 to 6 minutes to circulate the refrigerant and collect the compressor oil remaining in each component into the cooler compressor.

  1. Stop the engine.

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system using a refrigerant recovery unit.



3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH

  1. Remove the 4 clips and seal.



4. REMOVE FAN & GENERATOR V BELT

  1. While turning the belt tensioner counterclockwise, align the service hole for the belt tensioner and the belt tensioner fixing position, and then insert a bar of 5 mm (0.197 in.) into the service hole to fix the belt tensioner in place.

    HINT:
    The pulley bolt for the belt tensioner has a left-hand thread.
  1. Remove the V belt.



5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose from the cooler compressor.

  1. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose.

    NOTICE:
    Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.


6. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose from the cooler compressor.

  1. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose.

    NOTICE:
    Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.


7. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and nut.

  1. Remove the stud bolt and cooler compressor.
