DESCRIPTION

Engine switch condition (power source mode) or system malfunctions can be checked by observing the status of the engine switch indicator light.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.INSPECT ENGINE SWITCH
Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200.Theft Deterrent Keyless Entry.Entry And Start System (For Entry Function).Entry And Start System (For Start Function)  Engine Switch Indicator Circuit
  1. Disconnect the E18 engine switch connector.

  1. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the engine switch, and check the illumination condition of the engine switch indicator light.

    NOTICE:
    1. If the positive (+) lead and the negative (-) lead are incorrectly connected, the engine switch indicator light will not illuminate.
    2. If the voltage is too low, the indicator light will not illuminate.

  1. Disconnect the E1 main body ECU connector.

  1. Disconnect the E18 engine switch connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
