Entry And Start System (For Start Function) -- Precaution



1.PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
  1. After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work (Click here).

  2. When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal while performing repairs, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).


2.PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING GTS
  1. When using the GTS with the engine switch off to troubleshoot the entry and start system (for Start Function):
    Connect the GTS to the DLC3 and turn a door courtesy light on and off at 1.5 second or less intervals until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins (the GTS screen changes when communication begins).

    3. ID code box (immobiliser code ECU)

    5. Electrical key transmitter sub-assembly

    6. Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)
