1. CHECK DOOR CONTROL BATTERY OPERATION
NOTICE:
After performing the following inspection, perform Initialization (Click here).
HINT:
  1. After the ignition switch is turned off, the door control battery is discharged in at most 30 minutes. The discharge time may be shortened depending on the amount of door control battery charge.
  2. After the ignition switch is turned to ON, the door control battery is charged in at most 90 seconds. The charging time may be shortened depending on the amount of door control battery charge.
  1. Check that all doors are locked.

  1. Remove the DOOR fuse from the cowl side junction block LH.

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Wait at the 90 seconds (until the door control battery finishes charging).

  1. Turn the GTS on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Active Test.

  1. Select the tester display "Shock Detection Unlock" on the intelligent tester.

  1. Remove the ECU-IG NO.2 fuse from the cowl side junction block LH.

  1. Remove the MPX-B NO.1 fuse from the No. 1 engine room relay block.

  1. Within 20 seconds of removing the MPX-B NO.1 fuse, set the Active Test item "Shock Detection Unlock" to "Unlock".

  1. Check that all doors are unlocked.

    OK:
    All doors are unlocked.
    1. If all doors do not unlock, one of the following malfunctions may be the cause. Remove the cause of the malfunction, wait 5 minutes, and then perform the door control battery inspection again. In addition, if the cause of the malfunction is not one of the following, replace the door control battery and perform the door control battery inspection again.
      1. The amount of door control battery charge is insufficient.
        1. 90 seconds have not elapsed since turning the ignition switch to ON or the Active Test was not performed within 20 seconds of removing the MPX-B NO.1 fuse.
      2. The door control battery connector is not properly connected.
      3. The current value of the EDOR terminal is at or above a fixed amount.
        1. There is a short circuit between the EDOR terminal of the door control battery and the main body ECU or the main body ECU is malfunctioning.
