DTC C1AB0 Short to +B in Outer Mirror Indicator(Master)

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects a +B short in the outer rear view mirror indicator LH.

Both of the following conditions are met:

The blind spot monitor main switch (steering pad switch assembly [multi-function switch]) is on.

The blind spot monitor sensor is not sending voltage to the indicator but the indicator receives voltage above a specified level for a specified period of time.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (steering pad switch assembly [multi-function switch]) is on.

1.CHECK FOR DTC

Clear the DTCs (Click here).

Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
OK:
No DTCs are output.

Go to step 2

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (Click here)

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH [OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR LH])

Disconnect the blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH (Click here)

Disconnect the blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

Disconnect the IND2 outer rear view mirror LH connector.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Disconnect the blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

Disconnect the I35 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

5.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH)

Disconnect the blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

Disconnect the I40 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
