DTC C1AE4 Front Right Sensor Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front corner sensor RH) is installed on the front bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front corner sensor RH). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front corner sensor RH) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If DTCs are output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the TOYOTA parking assist-sensor system on. Then clear the DTCs (Click here).
1.CHECK FOR DTC

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

2.REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT CORNER SENSOR RH)

  1. Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front corner sensor RH) with a normally functioning one (Click here).
