Power Steering Ecu (W/ Variable Flow Control Solenoid Valve) -- Removal |
1. PRECAUTION |
- NOTICE:
- After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).
3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (for LHD) |
4. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE (for RHD) |

Put protective tape around the No. 1 switch hole base.

Detach the 4 claws.
Disconnect the connectors and remove the No. 1 switch hole base.
5. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for RHD) |
6. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY |
for LHD:
Remove the bolt, nut and junction block.
Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the bolt, claw and power steering ECU assembly.
for RHD:
Remove the bolt and 2 nuts.
Disconnect the connectors and detach the wire harness clamp from the junction block.
Remove the bolt and power steering ECU assembly from the junction block.
