  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

  2. REMOVE LOWER CONSOLE BOX (w/o Console Box Lid)

  3. REMOVE COOLING BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Cool Box)

  4. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Cool Box)

  5. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

Parking Brake Lever -- Removal



1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
  1. Start the engine.

  1. Turn the A/C switch on.

  1. Operate the cooler compressor while the engine speed is approximately 1000 rpm for 5 to 6 minutes to circulate the refrigerant and collect the compressor oil remaining in each component into the cooler compressor.

  1. Stop the engine.

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system using a refrigerant recovery unit.



2. REMOVE LOWER CONSOLE BOX (w/o Console Box Lid)

3. REMOVE COOLING BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Cool Box)

4. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Cool Box)
(Click here)


5. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
  1. Release the parking brake lever.

  1. Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.

  1. Remove the adjusting nut.

  1. Remove the parking brake return spring.

  1. Disconnect the No. 2 parking brake cable and No. 3 parking brake cable from the No. 1 parking brake pull rod.

  1. Remove the No. 1 parking brake pull rod, bush and compression spring from the parking brake lever.

  1. Remove the straight pin from the parking brake lever.

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and parking brake lever.



6. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the screw and parking brake switch.
