DTC C1AA2 Vehicle Speed Tolerance Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The forward recognition camera receives vehicle speed tolerance signals from the combination meter assembly. If the combination meter assembly detects a vehicle speed tolerance malfunction signal, it informs the forward recognition camera via CAN communication, and DTC C1AA2 is stored.

While the engine switch is on (IG), a signal indicating a malfunction is received from the combination meter assembly for 50 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
  2. If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust (Click here).
  3. First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting (Click here).
1.INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION)

  1. Perform On-vehicle Inspection of the meter/gauge system (Click here).

    HINT:
    Check the meter function by referring to On-vehicle Inspection for the combination meter assembly.

2.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ROAD SIGN ASSIST SYSTEM)

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Road Sign Assist/ Trouble Codes.

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

    HINT:
    If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).
