  1. If one of the conditions listed below occurs while the dynamic radar cruise control system is controlling vehicle speed, the ECM cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system. Then, the following warning indicators will illuminate.

    Constant Speed Control Mode:
    Situation
    Warning

    Cruise Control Indicator
    Warning Buzzer
    If the following condition occurs, the ECM clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:
    1. Open or short in stop light switch circuit
    Fail-safe deactivation condition:
    1. Dynamic radar cruise control system is turned off and back on again using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF button).
    Cruise Control Malfunction Visit Your Dealer
    Illuminates
    Does not illuminate
    "Pong" warning sound is heard
    If either of the conditions listed below occurs, the ECM clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:
    1. Problem with stop light switch input circuit
    2. Problem with cruise control main switch cancel circuit
    Fail-safe deactivation condition:
    1. Engine switch is turned off and back on (IG) again.
    Cruise Control Malfunction Visit Your Dealer

    "Pong" warning sound is heard
    If the following condition occurs, the ECM clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:
    1. Malfunction in SFI system
    Fail-safe deactivation condition:
    1. Dynamic radar cruise control system is turned off and back on again using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF button).

    Does not illuminate

    If the following condition occurs, the ECM clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:
    1. Vehicle speed is lower than stored speed by approximately 16 km/h (or 10 mph) or more
    Fail-safe deactivation condition:
    1. Cruise control main switch is pushed to -/SET

    Does not illuminate

    If the following condition occurs, the ECM cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system while retaining the set vehicle speed in its memory:
    1. Vehicle speed is lower than approximately 40 km/h (or 25 mph) while driving with the dynamic radar cruise control system controlling vehicle speed
    Fail-safe deactivation condition:
    1. Cruise control main switch is pushed to +/RES

    Does not illuminate
    Illuminates

    If any of the conditions listed below occurs, the ECM clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:
    1. VSC is performed
    2. TRC is performed for a certain period of time
    3. VSC is turned off
    4. TRC is turned off
    Fail-safe deactivation condition:
    1. Cruise control main switch is pushed to +/RES

    4. Beam axis of millimeter wave radar sensor assembly deviates
    Fail-safe deactivation condition:
    1. Engine switch is turned off and back on (IG) again.

    If the following condition occurs, the ECM cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system while retaining the set vehicle speed in its memory:
    1. There is dirt on millimeter wave radar sensor assembly
    Fail-safe deactivation condition:
    1. The condition returns to normal (the resume function can be operated after fail-safe is deactivated).
    Radar Cruise Control Unavailable Clean Sensor
    Illuminates
    Does not illuminate
    "Pong" warning sound is heard
    If any of the conditions listed below occurs, the ECM cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system while retaining the set vehicle speed in its memory:
    1. Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly sensitivity reduced because of bad weather such as rain, fog, snow, or sandstorm
    2. Brake control by the dynamic radar cruise control system is temporarily unavailable
    3. The beam axis of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is being aligned
    4. Malfunction in the forward recognition camera
    5. The forward recognition camera is temporarily unavailable
    6. A system check is being performed after the engine has started
    Fail-safe deactivation condition:
    1. The conditions return to normal (the resume function can be operated after fail-safe is deactivated).
    Radar Cruise Control Unavailable
    Illuminates
    Does not illuminate
    "Pong" warning sound is heard
    If the following condition occurs, the ECM cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system while retaining the set vehicle speed in its memory:
    1. Vehicle speed is lower than approximately 40 km/h (or 25 mph) while driving with the dynamic radar cruise control system controlling vehicle speed
    Fail-safe deactivation condition:
    1. Push the cruise control main switch to +/RES
