Power Steering Oil Pressure Switch -- On-Vehicle Inspection



1. INSPECT POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH

  1. Check the oil pressure switch.

    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Primary / Power Steering Signal.

    5. Start the engine.

    6. Operate the steering wheel while idling, and read the value on the intelligent tester.

      OK:
      Condition
      		Specified Condition
      Power steering operation
      		ON
      Power steering not operation
      		OFF
      If not as specified, check for DTCs (w/o DPF: Click here, w/DPF: Click here). If the power steering system inspection results are normal and a DTC is not output, replace the power steering oil pressure switch.
      Inspect the power steering system (w/o DPF: Click here, w/DPF: Click here). If the power steering system inspection results are normal and a DTC is not output, replace the power steering oil pressure switch.
