Heated Oxygen Sensor Removal

  1. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR

  2. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)

  3. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2)

Heated Oxygen Sensor -- Removal


CAUTION:
  1. The exhaust pipe is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.
  2. Confirm that the exhaust pipe has cooled down before removing it.


1. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and insulator.



2. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)

  1. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

  1. Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor from the front No. 2 exhaust pipe.

3. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2)

  1. Detach the clamp and disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

  1. Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor from the front exhaust pipe.
