DTC P060A Internal Control Module Monitoring Processor Performance


DESCRIPTION

The main CPU and sub CPU of the ECM perform data communication between each other. The main CPU monitors the communications and WDC pulses from the sub CPU. When the signal malfunctions below are detected, a DTC is stored.

A CPU reset is performed after one of the following conditions is met (1 trip detection logic):
  1. There is an ECM main CPU error.
  2. There is an ECM sub CPU error.
  3. There is an electronic throttle monitoring CPU error.

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN

  1. Turn the engine switch off.
  2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.
  3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
  4. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 16 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK FOR DTC

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the GTS on.

  1. Clear DTCs (Click here).

  1. Turn the GTS off.

  1. Turn the engine switch off.

  1. Disconnect the GTS.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.

  1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

  1. Wait 16 seconds or more.

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

  1. Check for DTCs.

    OK:
    P060A is not output.
