  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM LH

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM LH

  8. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  9. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  11. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  12. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE PLATE COVER

  13. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly (For Double Cab) -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  2. The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR1006X.html).


2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR3008X.html).


3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

  1. for Power Seat:
    (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000Z8U08XX.html)

  1. for Separate Seat Type:
    (HILUX_TGN26 RM000003NZX00UX.html)

  1. for Bench Seat Type:
    (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000Z9000EX.html)



4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  1. Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate.

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 7 claws and 3 clips, and remove the front door scuff plate.



5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  1. Put protective tape around the rear door scuff plate.

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 7 claws and 2 clips, and remove the rear door scuff plate.



6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM LH

  1. Partially remove the front door opening trim LH so that the lower center pillar garnish LH and center pillar garnish LH can be removed (HILUX_TGN26 RM00000148O00YX_01_0004.html).



7. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.


8. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt floor anchor.



    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Detach the 2 clips and remove the lower center pillar garnish LH.



9. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the bolt and front seat outer belt shoulder anchor.



    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. w/o Pretensioner:
    Remove the bolt and front seat outer belt assembly LH.



    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. w/ Pretensioner:

    1. Disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.



      2. Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

    2. Remove the bolt and front seat outer belt assembly LH.



11. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the front seat belt shoulder anchor cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat belt shoulder anchor.

  1. Detach the clip.

  1. Pull the center pillar garnish in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the guide and remove the center pillar garnish.



12. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE PLATE COVER

  1. Slide the shoulder belt anchorage plate cover upward and remove it from the center pillar garnish LH.

13. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the bolt.

  1. Rotate the adjuster approximately 90° , and then pull and remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
