Meter / Gauge System -- Operation Check



INSPECT INDICATOR/WARNING LIGHT
  1. Check the following indicators and warning lights.

    Comes on for 3 seconds
    ABS warning light*2
    VSC OFF indicator light*1
    T-BELT warning light*3

    Ignition switch off → ON
    Comes on for 6 seconds
    CHARGE warning light
    Ignition switch off → ON
    1. Illuminates when ignition switch turned to ON
    2. Turns off when engine started
    Oil pressure warning light
    MIL

    1. *1: w/ VSC
    2. *2: w/ Anti-lock Brake System
    3. *3: for 1KD-FTV, 2KD-FTV
    4. *4: for 4WD
    5. *5: for Automatic Transmission
    6. *6: w/ Airbag System

INSPECT SPEEDOMETER
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List.

    145.8 to 151.8 km/h
    160 km/h
    166.2 to 173.2 km/h
    180 km/h
    186.9 to 194.5 km/h
    If the result is not as specified, the speedometer may have a malfunction.
    NOTICE:
    Do not use worn, underinflated or overinflated tires as the speedometer reading will be inaccurate.
  5. Check the deflection width of the speedometer indicator.

    Reference:
    Within 0.3°

INSPECT TACHOMETER
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List.
