Navigation System -- Precaution



1.PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
After the ignition switch is turned off, the navigation system requires approximately a minute to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, wait a minute or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2.PRECAUTION FOR NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Blocking System)
NOTICE:
When replacing the instrument panel integration antenna assembly, navigation antenna cord sub-assembly or divider antenna assembly, refer to the Service Bulletin.

3.PRECAUTION FOR USING SD CARD
NOTICE:
  1. Do not touch SD memory cards with dirty or wet hands.
  2. Do not insert anything other than SD memory cards into the SD slot.
  3. As the SD cards may malfunction or adversely affect the navigation unit, do not store or use SD cards in the following locations.
    1. Places where static electricity is generated.
    2. Places where electronic noise is generated.
    3. Places which are hot or humid.
    4. Places where condensation occurs.
    5. Places which are prone to corrosion.
  4. SD cards are delicate electronic devices. Always abide by the following instructions, as the card may malfunction otherwise.
    1. Do not bend, drop or otherwise subject the card to an impact.
    2. Do not insert the SD card into the SD slot when it is covered with dust or dirt. Make sure that the SD card is oriented correctly when inserting it into the SD slot, and always insert the SD card completely.
  5. If a strong force is applied to the SD card, it may be damaged.
  1. Do not use the SD card if the label has peeled off or someone has put a sticker or other label on the SD card.

  2. Do not store the SD card in places exposed to direct sunlight or that have a high humidity, as the SD card may stop working.

  4. Do not touch the terminals with your hand or a metal object.

  5. Do not leave the SD card in places where the SD card may be affected by static electricity or electronic noise, as the data may be corrupted.
