Automatic Transaxle Assembly Installation

Inspect the torque converter (see page RAV4_ACA30 RM000001GS0003X.html).

Install the torque converter clutch to the automatic transaxle.

Using a vernier caliper, measure dimension A between the transaxle and the end surface of the drive plate.

Using a vernier caliper and straightedge, measure the dimension B shown in the illustration and check that B is greater than A.

Standard dimension:

A + 1.0 mm (0.039 in.) or more

Install the cable bracket with the 2 bolts.

Install the filler tube with the bolt.

5.5 Н*м{56 кгс*см, 49 фунт-сила-дюймов}

Install the ATF dipstick.

Install the automatic transaxle with the 5 upper side mounting bolts to the engine.

Момент затяжки:

64 Н*м{653 кгс*см, 47 фунт-сила-футов} for bolt A

46 Н*м{469 кгс*см, 34 фунт-сила-футов} for bolt B

Install the 4 lower side mounting bolts.

Момент затяжки:

37 Н*м{377 кгс*см, 27 фунт-сила-футов}

Install the 6 torque converter clutch mounting bolts.

Момент затяжки:

41 Н*м{418 кгс*см, 30 фунт-сила-футов}

УКАЗАНИЕ:

First install the green colored bolt and then the 5 bolts.

Install the flywheel housing under cover.

Install the mounting bracket with the 3 bolts.

Момент затяжки:

64 Н*м{653 кгс*см, 47 фунт-сила-футов}

Install the mounting bracket with the 3 bolts.

Момент затяжки:

64 Н*м{657 кгс*см, 47 фунт-сила-футов}

Install the mounting bracket with the 3 bolts.

Момент затяжки:

45 Н*м{459 кгс*см, 33 фунт-сила-футов}

Install the transmission oil cooler hoses and tube (see page RAV4_ACA30 RM0000024P8002X.html).

Connect the wire harness clamps.

Connect the speed sensor connectors.

Connect the transaxle wire connector.

Connect the park/neutral position switch connector.

Install the starter with the 2 bolts.

Connect the starter wire with the nut.

Момент затяжки:

13 Н*м{133 кгс*см, 10 фунт-сила-футов}

Connect the starter connector.

Install the terminal nut and cover the nut with the cap.

Момент затяжки:

9.8 Н*м{100 кгс*см, 7 фунт-сила-дюймов}

Install the engine with transaxle (see page RAV4_ACA30 RM000001BC1002X.html).

Inspect the automatic transaxle fluid (see page RAV4_ACA30 RM0000022UI001X.html).

Perform the RESET MEMORY procedures (A/T initialization) (see page RAV4_ACA30 RM000000W7F01AX.html).
