Front Speed Sensor (For 2Wd) Inspection

Check the speed sensor.

1. Under any of the following conditions, replace the sensor with a new one.
   

   1. The surface of the sensor is cracked, dented or chipped.
      
   2. The connector is scratched, cracked or damaged.
      
   3. The sensor has been dropped.
      




2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   1 - 2	0.65 to 2.0 kΩ
   1 - Body ground	10 kΩ or higher
   2 - Body ground	10 kΩ or higher

   *a	Component without harness connected (Front Speed Sensor)

   If the result is not as specified, replace the speed sensor.
   

   HINT:

   Check the speed sensor signal after replacing the speed sensor (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000010JM02VX_02_0006.html).
