Rear Leaf Spring (For 2Wd) Installation

Install the spring to the vehicle body.

Install the spring shackle to the spring and vehicle body.

Temporarily install the inner plate to the shackle No. 2 with the 2 washers and 2 nuts.

HINT:

After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nuts.

Temporarily install the bracket pin with the washer and nut.

Temporarily install the set bolt.

HINT:

1. The bracket pin can be installed from either side of the spring.
   
2. After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.
   

Temporarily install the 2 U bolts and U bolt seat with the 4 washers and 4 nuts.

HINT:

When tightening the U bolts, tighten the nuts in diagonal pairs.

Install the spring bumper with the 2 bolts.

Install the 2 washers to the axle housing.

Install 4 new bushes to the absorber.

Install the absorber (with the 4 bushes) to the U bolt seat and frame.

Install the 2 washers.

Temporarily install the 2 bolts.

Connect the parking brake cable with the bolt.

Torque:

14 N*m{143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf}

Lower the vehicle.

Bounce the vehicle up and down several times to stabilize the suspension.

Tighten the plate nut.

Torque:

60 N*m{612 kgf*cm, 44 ft.*lbf}

Tighten the pin nut.

Torque:

120 N*m{1224 kgf*cm, 89 ft.*lbf}

Tighten the set bolt.

Torque:

25 N*m{255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf}

Tighten the 4 nuts.

Torque:

120 N*m{1224 kgf*cm, 89 ft.*lbf}

Install the wheel.

Torque:

152 N*m{1550 kgf*cm, 112 ft.*lbf}
