Rear Leaf Spring (For 2Wd) -- Disassembly |
| 1. REMOVE REAR SPRING PIN BUSH |
Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 bushes from the bracket pin or spring.
| 2. REMOVE REAR SPRING SHACKLE LOWER BUSH |
Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 bushes from the spring shackle or spring.
| 3. REMOVE REAR SPRING SHACKLE UPPER BUSH |
Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 bushes from the spring shackle or vehicle frame.
| 4. DISASSEMBLE REAR SPRING ASSEMBLY |

Secure the rear leaf spring assembly in a vise between aluminum plates.
Using a brass bar and hammer, pry open the 4 spring clips of the rear No. 3 leaf spring.
- NOTICE:
- Do not damage the leaf spring.
Secure the spring with a vise as shown in the illustration.

Remove the nut and center bolt.
Remove the rear No. 3 spring spacer.
Remove the rear No. 1 spring spacer.
| 5. REMOVE REAR SPRING SILENCER |
Remove the 4 rear spring silencers from the leaf spring.
| 6. REMOVE REAR SPRING LEAF BUSH |
Fix the spring in place with a vise.
Using a metal saw, cut both ends of the bush.
 |
Using SST and a press, press out the 2 bushes.

Using a chisel and hammer, tap out the 2 outer tubes.
