Clutch Master Cylinder Installation

Drivetrain. Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25
Clutch. Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. INSTALL MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  2. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

  3. CONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  4. CONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE HOSE TUBE

  5. CONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR HOSE

  6. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  7. BLEED AIR FROM CLUTCH PIPE LINE

  8. CHECK FOR CLUTCH FLUID LEAKAGE

  9. INSPECT AND ADJUST CLUTCH PEDAL ASSEMBLY

  10. CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR

Clutch Master Cylinder -- Installation



1. INSTALL MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  1. Install the lock nut and master cylinder push rod clevis to the push rod.

    HINT:
    Tighten the lock nut to the specified torque when adjusting the clutch pedal.


2. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

  1. Install a new gasket and the clutch master cylinder assembly with the 2 nuts.

    Torque:
    14 N*m{145 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf}


3. CONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  1. Apply MP grease to the contact surface of the clevis pin.

  1. Connect the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis with the clevis pin and install a new clip.

  1. w/o Turnover:
    Connect the clutch pedal spring to the clevis pin and clutch pedal support to install it.



4. CONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE HOSE TUBE

  1. Using a union nut wrench, connect the clutch master cylinder to flexible hose tube.

    Torque:
    15 N*m{155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf}
    NOTICE:
    Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR1003X.html).


5. CONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR HOSE

  1. Connect the clutch reservoir hose to the clutch master cylinder assembly with the clip.

    NOTICE:
    Connect the clutch reservoir hose so that it is not twisted.


6. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

7. BLEED AIR FROM CLUTCH PIPE LINE

8. CHECK FOR CLUTCH FLUID LEAKAGE
HINT:
Check for leaks in the clutch system.


9. INSPECT AND ADJUST CLUTCH PEDAL ASSEMBLY

10. CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR

  1. Check for brake fluid leaks.

  1. Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000010K400UX_01_0001.html).

  1. Install the brake master cylinder reservoir filler cap assembly.
