Oil Pump Reassembly

Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new front oil pump oil seal.

HINT:

Make sure the front oil pump oil seal end is flush with the outer edge of the pump body.

Coat the lip of the front oil pump oil seal with MP grease.

Place the front oil pump body on the torque converter assembly.

Coat the driven gear with ATF.

Install the driven gear to the front oil pump body.

Coat the drive gear with ATF.

Install the drive gear to the front oil pump body.

Align the bolt holes of the stator shaft with the bolt holes of the front oil pump body and install the stator shaft assembly to the front oil pump body.

Install the 13 bolts.

Torque:

9.8 N*m{100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf}

Coat 2 new clutch drum oil seal rings with ATF.

Squeeze the ends of the 2 oil seal rings together with the overlap distance 8.0 mm (0.314 in.) or less, and then install them to the stator shaft groove.

HINT:

After installing the oil seal rings, check that they rotate smoothly.

Check that the drive gear rotates smoothly.

Remove the oil pump from the torque converter.

Coat a new O-ring with ATF and Install it to the front oil pump body.
