Ecm -- Installation |
| 1. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET |
Install the No. 2 ECM bracket with the 2 screws.
- Torque:
- 3.0 N*m{31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf}
| 2. INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET |
w/ Glow Plug Controller:
Install the No. 1 ECM bracket with the 2 screws.- Torque:
- 3.0 N*m{31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf}
w/o Glow Plug Controller:
Install the No. 1 ECM bracket with the 3 screws.- Torque:
- 3.0 N*m{31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf}
| 3. INSTALL ECM |
Install the ECM with the bolt and 2 nuts.
- Torque:
- 8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
w/ Glow Plug Controller:
Connect the 6 connectors.
w/o Glow Plug Controller:
Connect the 4 connectors.
| 4. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL ECU (for Automatic Transmission) |
Install the transmission control ECU with the 2 bolts.
- Torque:
- 8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
Connect the 5 connectors.
| 5. INSTALL TURBO MOTOR DRIVER (w/o Glow Plug Controller) |
Install the turbo motor driver with the bolt.
- Torque:
- 8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
Connect the connector.
| 6. INSTALL 4WD CONTROL ECU (for 4WD) |
Install the 4WD control ECU with the bolt.
- Torque:
- 8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
Connect the connector.
| 7. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY |
| 8. PERFORM REGISTRATION |
Perform registration (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000012XK05AX.html).
- HINT:
- Only perform registration when the ECM is replaced, either by itself or in any of the following combinations.
- ECM and Fuel Supply Pump
- ECM and Diesel Throttle Body Assembly
- ECM and Injector Assembly
- ECM and Engine Assembly
| 9. START ENGINE |
When replacing the ECM, start the engine to initialize the new ECM (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000TIN058X.html).
