1. REMOVE REAR WIPER BLADE ASSEMBLY |
Raise the wiper blade to the position where the claw disengages with a click sound, as shown in the illustration.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the claw.
Remove the rear wiper blade from the rear wiper arm in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
- NOTICE:
- Do not fold the wiper arm with the wiper blade removed. The arm tip may damage the back door glass surface.
2. REMOVE REAR WIPER RUBBER |
Lift and pull the end of the wiper rubber protrusion from the blade stopper as shown in the illustration.
- NOTICE:
- Do not forcibly pull out the wiper rubber. The backing plates will be deformed or the blade claws will be damaged.
- HINT:
- Lightly pushing the rubber in the middle will allow it to be removed more easily.

Remove the rear wiper rubber with the 2 rear wiper rubber backing plates.
Remove the 2 rear wiper rubber backing plates from the rear wiper rubber.
3. INSTALL REAR WIPER RUBBER |
Install the 2 rear wiper rubber backing plates to the rear wiper rubber as shown in the illustration.
- NOTICE:
- Install the backing plates facing the correct direction.
Insert the wiper rubber from the second claws of the wiper blade to the rear end claws.
After pushing the wiper rubber through the rear end claws, allow it to stick out from the rear end stopper.

Slide the wiper rubber through the front end claws.
- NOTICE:
- Do not deform the rear wiper rubber backing plate or damage the rear wiper blade assembly claws by sliding the rear wiper rubber excessively.

- HINT:
- If the rear wiper blade assembly claws are not through the grooves in the rear wiper rubber, slide the rear wiper rubber back and forth several times to engage the claws.
- Applying a small amount of washer fluid to the rear wiper rubber allows the claws to align the grooves.
- The rear wiper rubber slide stroke is extended by lifting the center of the rear wiper rubber slightly as shown in the illustration.
4. INSTALL REAR WIPER BLADE ASSEMBLY |
Engage the claw and install the rear wiper blade to the wiper arm in the illustration.
