SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM (for Hatchback) - Driver Side Seat Belt Warning Light does not Operate


DESCRIPTION

When the ignition switch is ON, the airbag sensor assembly transmits front seat inner belt status signals to the combination meter assembly through CAN. If the driver seat belt is not fastened, the combination meter assembly blinks the driver side seat belt warning light. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light turns off.

  1. Clear the DTC.

    1. for Hatchback except Separate Type Yaw Rate Sensor (YARIS_NCP93 RM000001RSW02LX.html)
    2. for Hatchback with Separate Type Yaw Rate Sensor (YARIS_NCP93 RM000001RSW02PX.html)

  1. Recheck for DTCs.

3.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT)

  1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the Techstream on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

  1. According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

    Driver Side Seat Belt
    		Driver side seat belt warning light
    		OFF or ON
    		Confirm that the vehicle is stopped with the engine idling
