Front Seat Assembly (For Hatchback Front Passenger Side) Reassembly

Engage the 2 hooks to install the seat track adjusting handle.

Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

Install the separate type front seatback spring assembly with the 4 bolts.

Torque:

42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}

Engage the 2 cable end and 2 clamps to install the seat lock control cable assembly.

Engage the cable clamp and 3 clamps to install the seatback control cable assembly.

Engage the nipple end and clamp to install the seatback control cable assembly.

Install the casing cap.

Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector RH.

Install the screw.

Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector LH.

Install the screw.

Engage the guide to install to reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

Engage the guide to install to reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

Engage the 4 guides to install the reclining remote control base.

Install the front seat side airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.

CAUTION:

1. The nuts must not be reused.
   
2. Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
   

Torque:

5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}

Engage the 2 clamps.

Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seat back pad with 6 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
   

Temporary install the front seatback cover with pad.

Install the front seatback cover bracket with the 2 nuts. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

Torque:

5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}

NOTICE:

1. For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.
   
2. Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
   
3. Install the bracket securely.
   

Fasten the 2 zippers. (for Sport Package)

Align the protruding portion of the front seat headrest support with the installation groove of the front seat adjuster frame.

Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

Do not soil or scratch the front seatback cover.

Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

Do not soil or scratch the front seatback cover.

Connect the cable end to the reclining remote control lever sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

Install the control lever sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

Slide down the cover.

Engage the claw and close the cover.

Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 14 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion pad .
   
2. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
   

Using hog ring pliers, install the 2 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
   

Engage the 5 hooks and temporary install the seat cushion cover with pad.

Engage the 2 hooks.

Engage the 3 clamps to install the front seat side airbag wire harness. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

Engage the 4 hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.

Fasten the hook and loop fastener. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

Connect the seatback cover pad.

Engage the 4 clamps.

Connect the 2 connector to install the front seat wire.

Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion inner shield.

Engage the clip and 2 claws to install the front seat cushion shield.

Install the screw.

Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle.

Install the front seat headrest assembly.

Engage the claw to install the occupant detection ECU.

NOTICE:

If the occupant detection ECU has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the occupant detection ECU with a new one.

Connect the 2 connectors.

NOTICE:

When installing the occupant detection ECU, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is pinched between other parts.

w/ Limit Switch:

1. Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the bolt.
   

   Torque:

   41 N*m{420 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf}

   NOTICE:

   Do not place the front seat inner belt over the convex areas of the front seat with frame adjuster.

2. Connect the connector.
   

3. Install the front seat cushion inner shield. (YARIS_NCP93 RM000001WB101FX_01_0054.html)
   

w/o Limit Switch:

1. Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the bolt.
   

   Torque:

   41 N*m{420 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf}

   NOTICE:

   Do not place the front seat inner belt over the convex areas of the front seat with frame adjuster.

Connect the connector.
