Front Seat Assembly (For Sedan) -- Disassembly


CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp surfaces on the front seat adjuster frame could cause injuries to your hands.
HINT:
The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the front passenger and driver sides, unless otherwise specified.


1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY

  1. for Driver Side:

    1. Disconnect the seat position sensor connector.

    2. Using a clip remover, remove the connector.

    3. Using a clip remover, remove the clamp.

    4. Remove the clamp.

  1. for Front Passenger Seat:

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the connector.

    2. Using a clip remover, remove the clamp.

    3. Remove the clamp.

  1. Remove the wire harness from the claw of the front seat cushion inner shield.

  1. Remove the nut and the front seat inner belt.



2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and the clip and remove the front seat cushion outer shield.



3. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTER COVER (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

  1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and remove the vertical adjuster cover.

4. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTER KNOB (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

  1. Remove the 2 screws and the vertical adjuster knob.



5. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

  1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION OUTER SHIELD

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and the clip and remove the front seat cushion outer shield.



7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER PAD (for Cover Integrated Type)

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and 7 hooks.

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips and the front seat cushion cover pad.



8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD (for Cover Separate Type)

  1. Disengage the 2 hooks.

  1. Remove the 2 hog rings.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and the 7 hooks and remove the front seat cushion.



9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for Cover Separate Type)

  1. Remove the 10 hog rings and remove the front seat cushion cover.



10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

  1. Remove the 3 hog rings.

  1. Remove the 2 hog rings.



  1. for Cover Separate Type:

    1. Remove the 3 hog rings

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat headrest support.

    HINT:
    Use the same procedure for both sides.


11. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER PAD

  1. w/Front Seat Side Airbag:

    1. Remove the nut and remove the seatback bracket.

  1. Remove the front seatback cover pad.



12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT BACK COVER (for Cover Separate Type)

  1. Remove the 6 hog rings and the front seat back cover.



13. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTER SPACER (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

  1. Disengage the claw and remove the vertical adjuster spacer.



14. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover.



15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

  1. Remove the clamp.

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover.



16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER OUTSIDE COVER RH

  1. Remove the screw and the reclining adjuster outside cover.



17. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER OUTSIDE COVER LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.


18. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BRACKET

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and remove the front seatback bracket sub-assembly.



19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH

  1. w/ Vertical Adjuster:

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the claw and remove the front seat cushion lower shield.

  1. w/o Vertical Adjuster:

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat cushion lower shield.



20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat cushion lower shield.

    2. Disengage the claw and remove the front seat cushion lower shield.



21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PROTECTOR

  1. Remove the 2 front seat cushion protectors.



22. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR (for Driver Side)


  1. w/Front Passenger Airbag:



      Yaris. Ncp93, 131

    1. Disengage the pin and remove the seat position sensor protector.



23. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR (for Driver Side)


  1. w/Front Passenger Airbag:



      Yaris. Ncp93, 131

    1. Using "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the bolt and the seat position sensor.



24. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE (for Front Passenger Side)


  1. w/Front Passenger Airbag:



      Yaris. Ncp93, 131

    1. Disconnect the 5 connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 clamps and the front seat wire.



25. REMOVE OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)


  1. w/Front Passenger Airbag:



      Yaris. Ncp93, 131

    1. Disengage the claw and remove the occupant detection ECU.
