  1. INSTALL SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR

  2. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH

  3. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

  4. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

  6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  8. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

Side Airbag Sensor (For Sedan) -- Installation


CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000KT10D1X.html).
HINT:
The procedure described below is for the RH side. Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides, unless otherwise specified.


1. INSTALL SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR

  1. Confirm that the ignition switch is turned to off.

  1. Confirm that the negative battery terminal is detached.

    CAUTION:
    Confirm that the negative battery terminal is disconnected before performing the operation. Even an impact to only the airbag sensor will cause the airbag to deploy.

  1. Insert the hook into the body hole and install the airbag sensor with the bolt.

    Torque:
    9.0 N*m{90 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf}
    NOTICE:
    1. Do not use a side airbag sensor that has been dropped.
    2. Do not subject the side airbag sensor to any impact or force.

  1. Confirm that there is no looseness by shaking the side airbag sensor.

  1. Connect the airbag connector.



2. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH


    Yaris. Ncp93, 131

  1. Engage the 2 clips and 3claws and install the center pillar lower garnish.



3. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

  1. Align the location mark with the paint mark first, and install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip, as shown in the illustration.

    Paint mark:
    Area
    		Color
    RH side
    		Green
    LH side
    		Red


4. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  1. Engage the 7 claws and install the rear door scuff plate.



5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

  1. Align the location mark with the paint mark first, and install the front door opening trim weatherstrip, as shown in the illustration.

    Paint mark:
    Area
    		Color
    RH side
    		Blue
    LH side
    		Pink


6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH


    Yaris. Ncp93, 131

  1. Engage the 11 claws and install the front door scuff plate.



7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque:
5.4 N*m{55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf}


8. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
